When Katie got in touch to paint a mural at the new Lola cafe on Regent Street in Leamington, I couldn’t be happier to help! I’ve loved visiting Lola ever since they opened in 2021. A family friendly cafe you’re always welcomed with a big smile, the BEST coffee and toated sandwiches and pastries to die for. They have such a high standard for the food and beverages I knew I needed to match it with this mural. Designed as part of a crowd funding campaign the mural was created to celebrate the journey of Katie and James alongside their gorgeous family. The journey was created by showing Katie and James on the left where they started their business selling natural wines as a duo. As we move to the right the scene opens into a joyful family vignette with Otto and the twins centre stage. Katie also asked for her Dad to be painted on the mural who she sadly lost recently. I created his portrait overlooking the cafe bar, keeping an eye of things. It was so special to create this artwork and I LOVE how it turned out!
