top 10 nursery wall murals
As a new mama and a muralist (yes the clue is in the name : -) I was all set to paint the baby’s nursery with a gorgeous mural. I created a design and spent time picking colours, it would be a farm theme with tractors, diggers, cows, hay bales and goats dotted over the wall next to the crib…however I never finished the nursery before he arrived. Our bathroom (which we knocked back to brick the week we moved in) took so much longer to finish than when baby arrived his nursery still had bare plaster walls….so I’ve selected 10 of the best nursery mural designs to share with you for inspiration. When I finally get around to painting one for my son, I’ll share it with you here so check back!
In no particular order, because I don’t do favourites, here are 10 gorgeous mural ideas to try at home and makle you broody…
1. Textured lines
An Indigo Day This painted line effect with blue brush strokes is ideal to add some interest to the nursery. You could create an organic shaped pattern across the wall or do like Jessica and cover the whole wall. One piece of advice before you start - try out a few brushes and lines on paper first to find your stride. This is great for beginners as it doesn’t require any drawing and looks effective in just one colour. Happy mark making!

I couldn’t find a great nursery mural with a farm theme but this one by Mandy Arroyo for Blanchet House is brilliant and I think you’ll agree, it would look so cute in a nursery too.
