worcester a&e mural

In Autumn 2024 Worcestershire Royal Hospital opened their brand new A&E department. The building was under construction when I was invited to paint the 12m x 2m concrete wall that surrounded the entrance to the new department. As part of the design process I led participants from the staff forums through some idea generation workshops. The final design is a celebration of the local countryside with nods to Worcestershire’s landscape. Hidden amongst the characters are icons that represent ideas from workshop participants. Many of the staff have migrated to the UK or live in other cities so we wanted to make sure their voices were represented too. The wall was so well received that I was invited back in 2025 to paint a second wall (the mural made all the surrounding walls look worse until they were painted as well!)
